Bull Put Spread (sells a put, buys a further-out-of-the-money put for protection) — you collect a credit today and keep it if the stock stays above your breakeven at expiration. Bets the price won't fall much.
Bear Call Spread (sells a call, buys a further-out-of-the-money call for protection) — mirror image: you keep the credit if the stock stays below your breakeven. Bets the price won't rise much.
Iron Condor — a bull put spread and a bear call spread on the same expiration, combined. You keep the full combined credit only if the stock stays between both breakevens — a bet that price stays roughly range-bound.
Credit is what you're paid upfront per spread (per 100 shares). Margin is the capital tied up to hold the position (roughly the strike width minus the credit). Return is credit ÷ margin, and its annualized version scales that to a full year so spreads with different expirations can be compared fairly.
POP (probability of profit) is modeled from the option's own implied volatility and time to expiration, assuming prices move randomly with no directional bias — it estimates the odds price stays past breakeven, not a guarantee. Breakeven is the exact price at expiration where the trade stops being profitable.
The scanner only shows spreads where the short leg's delta is between 0.10 and 0.30 (roughly a 10–30% chance of finishing in-the-money by that rough measure), the credit is at least 1% of the margin required, and modeled POP is at least 70%.
Paper Trade (on each result below) opens that exact spread in your free practice account at its current live price — real market data, simulated money. Manage and close paper positions from the Paper Account tab above.
